Jomsom Muktinath Trekking is a trekking in north of Pokhara. Each day’s walk gives a different experience and makes the area the most popular destination in the country. It is a part of the Annapurna circuit and perhaps the single most popular trek in Nepal. The trek offers marvelous views of deep valleys and high mountains encircling the giant Annapurna Himal. Trek also offers villages inhabited particularly by the Gurungs & Magars.
The Annapurna Circuit is the popular trek in Nepal around the Annapurna mountain range in the Himalayas. The trek reaches an altitude of 5416 metres. The magnificent mountain scenery, seen at close quarters includes Annapurna 8,091 m, Dhauligiri 8,167 m and Machhupuchhare 6,993 metres, considered by many to be the most beautiful mountain in the world.
Annapurna Base Camp trek can be done in about 8 to 14 days (depend on your walking pace). The Annapurna Base Camp trek leads to a natural amphitheater that is used as the base camp from which climbers start on their way to conquer the Annapurna Mountain top. The mountain reaches 8091 meters above sea level, and the base camp’s altitude is 4130 meters above sea level.
The trek is not easy, and the adjustment to high altitudes may be difficult, and altitude sickness is very common. On the other hand, anyone with a reasonable level of physical fitness can walk the trek.
The trek to Ghorepani - Poon Hill which is located in Annapurna region, is truly called as all the best of the trekking in Nepal. The highest point of this trek is 3210 m and for many the highlight is an early morning pilgrimage to Poon Hill for a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas, where the mountains stretch as far as the eye can see North towards Tibet West towards the Dhaulagiri Himal and East with superb views of the Annapurna Himal.
