Nepal Tourism Year 2011
With the slogan "Together for Tourism", the Nepal Tourism Year (NTY) 2011 has been formally unveiled by the government on Friday, 26 March 2010.
Prime Minster Madhav Kumar Nepal inaugurated the NTY 2011 by lighting a lamp brought from Lumbini, the birth-place of Gautam Buddha, in a special ceremony organized at the Nepal Army pavilion in Tundikhel, Kathmandu.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the government expects active help and support from everyone to make this national campaign a success.

11th Nepal Open paragliding from Feb 18
The Pokhara Chapter of Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN) is organizing the 11th edition of Nepal Open Paragliding Championship in Pokhara from February 18.
"The three-day event has already become a major attraction in Nepal's tourism calendar. We are organizing the event to promote the adventure sports of paragliding and promote Pokhara as a hub for adventure tourism," a press statement issued by TAAN Pokhara Chapter stated.
Sucessful expedition on Mt. Ama Dablam- Autumn 2009
Adventure Extreme is pleased to announce and congratulate all the team members of Mt. Ama Dablam Expedition autumn 2009 for their sucessful expedition.
The team members having six climbing members including climbing Sherpas sucessfully completed the expedition.

Friends of Adventure Extreme team on summit of Naga Parbat
Friend of Mr. Jiten Shrestha and Adventure Extreme team Mr. Gerfried Göschl Mr. Hans Goger and team successfully summited Nanga Parbat on 11 July 2009.
The team departed towards the summit on 11 July from C4, "located at the point where the new route and the Kinshoffer route merge together.

Tibet Expedition operated by Advanture Extreme- Spring 2009

Greetings from Adventure Extreme (P) Ltd.
We are pleased to inform you that Adventure Extreme Trekking (P) Ltd team was very successful in operating and obtaining expedition permits for mountains in Tibet this season (Spring 2009). Although it was uncertain of opening Tibet, it was finally opened for all climbers and tourist.
Adventure Extreme team operated and obtain permit for the following expedition teams.
Jungle Resorts in Chitwan National Park to shutdown
Chitwan National Park has asked jungle resorts inside the park premises not to lodge tourists from July 16 after their 15-year-long contract expired on July 15.
The CNP asked seven jungle resorts operating inside the national park not to lodge tourists after the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation couldn't decide on renewing their contract.
The decision has directly affected Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge, Machan Wildlife Camp, Chitwan Jungle Lodge, Gaida Wildlife Camp, Island Jungle Resort, Hotel Narayani Safari and Temple Tiger Jungle Lodge.
Apa reaches summit of Mt Everest, makes it 19
Legendary Everest summiteer Apa Sherpa has set a new record on Mt Everest by reaching the summit of the highest peak in the world for the record 19th time. He reached the summit at 8:30 pm on Thursday.
