Mt. Makalu is the world’s fifth highest peak. Only a few hundred trekkers and the occasional expedition visit this mountain each year. Makalu region is very close to the Everest region. It is known as Arun Valley. The Arun Valley is an unimaginable area and it is famous for both the culture and nature. This area is a naturalist’s paradise and it is teeming with many precious plants, animals and birds and is a significant part of the Himalayan environment and ecosystem.
Trekking in this are is considered as one of the challenging one. To start this trek we have to take domestic flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar. Trekking staffs includes guide, cook, kitchen staffs and porters to carry the trekking gears. From Tumlingtar the trek starts until reaching the Base Camp of Makalu. Maximum altitude we will reach is 4870 m. During trek we will be sleeping in the tent and our experienced cook will provide hygienic food.
